Immunisation program

Kenya Aid has instituted a vaccination program aimed at reducing the heavy burden of preventable diseases in the Western Kenya. Vaccinations are distributed free of charge both at the Shikunga community hospital and at outreach camps. These vaccinations include BCG (a vaccine against tuberculosis), polio, measles, tetanus, diptheria, pertussis, haemophilus B and hepatitis B.
