To everyone who helped us fill our ginormous container full of donated uniforms, books, sanitary pads, furniture and more – THANK YOU. The container left port in November and has safely arrived in Mombasa. We’re hoping it will be delivered to Shikunga before Christmas and we can’t wait to share photos with you all. Exciting news from Shikunga – our permanent classrooms construction project is well underway!
It is a government requirement that we build eight permanent classrooms by the end of 2015 to complete the registration of our school and so far we have almost completed construction on three classrooms.
There’s still five more to go and we need your help to have these completed by the end of the year. As the rainy season sets in it’s even more important that we have quality classrooms built to protect the health of our learners so please consider donating today to help us meet our goal. Every dollar is well and truly appreciated!
